🔥 Prep
- Peel and finely dice the 0.5 pc onion into small pieces.
- Wash and finely dice the 0.5 pc tomato, removing seeds if desired.
- Wash, peel (if desired), and finely dice the 0.5 pc cucumber.
- Measure out 300 g yogurt into a mixing bowl.
- Measure out 0.5 tsp chaat masala and 0.5 tsp salt and set aside.
🔥 Cook
- 1. Add the 300 g yogurt to a bowl and whisk vigorously until smooth, about 30 seconds at room temperature.
- 2. Add the finely diced onion, tomato, and cucumber to the yogurt and gently fold them in using a spatula for 1 minute until evenly distributed.
- 3. Sprinkle the 0.5 tsp chaat masala and 0.5 tsp salt over the mixture and stir for 20 seconds to incorporate the seasoning.
- 4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the raita for 10 minutes at cold temperature (4 °C) to allow flavors to meld.
- 5. Give the raita a quick stir before serving to restore its creamy consistency.
