🔥 Prep
- Cut the 250 g paneer into 1.5 cm cubes and set aside.
- Rinse the 300 g spinach thoroughly, then roughly chop it.
- Peel and finely chop the 1 onion.
- Peel and mince the 6 cloves of garlic.
- Stem and finely slice the 2 green chillies.
- Measure out 1.5 tbsp cream and keep ready.
- Measure out 1.5 tbsp oil.
- Measure out 1.25 tsp salt.
- Measure out 100 ml water.
🔥 Cook
- 1. Heat 1.5 tbsp oil in a pan over medium heat.
- 2. Add the chopped onion and sauté for 3‑4 minutes until translucent.
- 3. Add the minced garlic and sliced green chillies and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- 4. Add the chopped spinach and 100 ml water, cover and simmer on low heat for 5 minutes until wilted.
- 5. Transfer the mixture to a blender and blend until smooth; return the puree to the pan.
- 6. Add the paneer cubes and simmer on low heat for 4 minutes to let them absorb flavor.
- 7. Stir in the cream, 1.25 tsp salt, and mix well; cook on low heat for 2 minutes.
- 8. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed, then remove from heat.
🔥 Serve
- Transfer the palak paneer to a serving bowl and garnish with a drizzle of extra cream (optional).
- Serve hot alongside warm naan, roti, or steamed basmati rice.
- Pair with sliced onions and lemon wedges on the side for a fresh contrast.
