🔥 Prep

- Measure 50 g sugar and 2 tsp baking powder; add to the flour and whisk to combine.
- Cut 85 g cold butter into small cubes.
- Measure 175 ml milk and set aside.

- 1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (or 400°F).
- 2. Combine the flour, sugar, and baking powder in a large bowl; mix until uniform.
- 3. Add the cold butter cubes to the flour mixture; rub with fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- 4. Make a well in the center and pour in the milk; stir gently with a fork until a soft dough forms.
- 5. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface; pat it into a 2‑cm thick circle.
- 6. Cut the dough into 8 wedges (or use a 5‑cm round cutter) and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
