🔥 Prep
- Trim the base and remove the tough outer leaves of the 1 stalk lemongrass, then bruise it by smashing with the back of a knife to release its aroma.
- Measure out 200 ml of water using a measuring cup.
🔥 Cook
- 1. Place the 200 ml of water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil over high heat.
- 2. Add the bruised lemongrass stalk to the boiling water, then reduce the heat to medium‑low and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- 3. After 5 minutes, remove the saucepan from heat and allow the tea to steep for an additional 2 minutes.
- 4. Strain the tea into a cup, discarding the lemongrass stalk.

- Serve the lemongrass tea hot, optionally sweetened with a teaspoon of honey or a slice of lemon.
